As usual, The Met Gala, formally known as The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute benefit, took place on the first Monday of May to raise money for the Costume Institute. And as usual, the opening of the institute’s spring exhibition, titled ‘Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between’ this year, was a fashion extravaganza.
