Nora Attal, Loli Bahia, and Mona Tougaard Steal the Spotlight in Chanel's Buttons and Ballet Show in Paris

Chanel showcased its collection at Paris Haute Couture Week on Tuesday, featuring models Nora Attal, Loli Bahia, and Mona Tougaard. Under the creative direction of Virginie Viard, the French label elevated its Spring/Summer 2024 haute couture presentation with an ethereal touch. The runway, carpeted in luxury, witnessed an enchanting display of tulle, ruffles, pleats, and lace, creating an atmosphere of lightness and sophistication. A colossal button, bearing the label's iconic logo, overlooked the audience seated in a circular arrangement.

British-Moroccan beauty Nora Attal epitomized grace in a sequined mini dress that seamlessly blended black, navy blue, and silver hues. The dress, adorned with delicate tulle trains fastened to her hips, exuded a ballerina-like elegance. The addition of white tights beneath the ensemble enhanced its ethereal quality.

Mona Tougaard, of mixed heritage, captivated the audience in a meticulously tailored collarless black tweed coat. The coat featured braided pockets and strategically cut openings revealing hints of tulle, with the spotlight on its eight pearlescent buttons. White stockings and black-heeled sandals complemented her striking look.

Virginie Viard drew inspiration from buttons and ballet, and this theme was flawlessly captured in the ultimate bridal gown worn by French-Algerian model Loli Bahia. Her mini dress with floral embroidery had transparent shoulders, voluminous tulle sleeves, and an extra-long train. It had three sparkling buttons on the neckline and was paired with white tights, echoing the dance theme. This outfit was the perfect bridal gown to end the fashion show, which started with six all-white looks.

The opening look, showcased by actor Margaret Qualley, was an all-white ensemble featuring the label's signature tweed jacket with shiny buttons, square pockets, and a ruff collar. Shimmery white tights and a miniskirt completed the look, accented by black heeled sandals and a matching hair bow, a recurring motif throughout the show.

This collection, which included feminine silhouettes, a delicate pastel color scheme, recognizable tweeds, and—of course—the button—emphasized painstaking attention to detail. Every ensemble skillfully combined elegant and stylish components.

The Spring/Summer haute couture presentations in Paris, continuing until January 25, showcase collections by well-known designers like Giorgio Armani Prive, Zuhair Murad, Elie Saab, Valentino, and brands under LVMH such as Christian Dior and Fendi. Additionally, designers Imane Ayissi, Ronald van der Kemp, Rahul Mishra, and Stephane Rolland contribute to the event.
