Day Two of Dubai Fashion Week: A Global Gathering of Designers

Dubai Fashion Week's second day began with impressive presentations by Pipatchara, Lili Blanc, Lama Jouni, and Weinsanto.

Pipatchara, a well-known Thai brand celebrated for its hand-knotted macramé designs, initiated the day with a display of revealing fashion pieces. The talented siblings behind this sought-after brand unveiled an assortment of attire suitable for evening events, marked by a multitude of openings and a predominantly neutral color scheme, with a dash of diverse vibrant green garments.

On the other hand, the Dubai-based label Lili Blanc, established by Lebanese designer Sabrina Mouhieddine, unveiled a collection dominated by monochromatic designs, accentuated by neon green and hot pink highlights. The lineup consisted of dresses resembling blazers, waistcoats matched with short skirts, and pantsuits embellished with surprising and subtle cutout details. The designer emphasized the celebration of women's beauty and uniqueness, stating on Instagram, "There is just something special when a woman designs garments for every woman out there."

In the meantime, Lama Jouni's most recent collection showcased bandeau tops, closely fitting mini dresses, and lively colors that provided a striking contrast to the predominantly black foundation of the collection. Subtle violet hues were matched with vibrant hot pink tights, and the fusion of green and pink was employed for multiple models. Although the selected green shade clashed slightly with the pink stockings, there was a fantastic outcome with one particular combination of hot pink and red on the runway. After gaining significant experience working with renowned fashion houses like Balmain and Rad Hourani, Lebanese designer Jouni established her own brand in 2013.

Weinsanto, a French fashion brand, showcased Tunisian model Ameni Esseibi on the catwalk, where she gracefully displayed two entirely black outfits. Victor Weinsanto, a former ballet student who honed his skills under Jean Paul Gaultier, enlivened the second day of Dubai Fashion Week with a display of structured separates featuring dramatic necklines and dresses with flowing, sheer skirts. Weinsanto has participated in over five seasons of Dubai Fashion Week as part of the collaboration between the Arab Fashion Council and France's Federation de La Haute Couture et de la Mode. Victor Weinsanto is also a member of the Dubai Fashion Week designers’ committee.
