Last week, the fashion world lost one of its most revered, loved and controversial fashion pioneers – Dame Vivienne Westwood. When she first entered the British fashion scene, her collections were often ridiculed and mocked by a society that was “prim and proper,” and ever the visionary, the queen of punk was revolutionary and instrumental in how people dress today and think about fashion today.

The legendary designer sadly passed away at the age of 81, but left behind a 60 year long career and legacy that was peppered with iconic moments, from Naomi Campbell’s runway fall, to attending an event at Buckingham Palace sans underwear, here we look back at 10 iconic fashion moments from Vivienne Westwood’s reign…
