21 Saudi Universities Were Named In Times Education Rankings 2023

The Times Higher Education Work University rankings have just released their 19th edition this year and among the list there was 21 Saudi Arabian universities that were listed. This highly depicts the admirable race the Middle East and specifically Saudi Arabia is going for with education standards and academic excellence.

Six new Saudi universities have been named on the list, while the rest either maintained their rankings or got higher ones. Local sources have also reported that the Saudi universities mentioned have achieved a 40% growth from last year.

Among the universities listed in The Times List were King Abdulaziz University, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, King Saud University, Alfaisal University, and Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University.

The list was dominated by US and British universities such as California Institute of Technology, MIT, Yale University, Johns Hopkin University and more. The list was topped by the educational giant, University of Oxford, followed by Harvard University.

The educational sector in Saudi Arabia has been flourishing year after year and being supported by the scholastic pillars of Saudi Vision 2030, it will only become more innovative. Additionally, many initiatives have been integrated along the past years to improve education, but also wellbeing.

For example, a couple of weeks ago a virtual introduction to yoga lecture was prepared for various representatives of Saudi universities in the kingdom. The aim behind that initiative was to spread awareness about the impact of integrating wellbeing and strength to achieve a healthy mind. Events are also organized across the kingdom to showcase innovative projects created by students, also in efforts of recognizing and empowering Saudi students.
