Round Up of The Best of Red Carpet Fashion at Venice Film Festival
One of the oldest film festivals in the world, the Venice Film Festival, dating back to 1932, has established itself as the most glamorous event of the year.
Stars flock to the most beautiful city in the world to promote their new movies as well as conveying powerful fashion statements. Leading stylists flaunt their best designs on the red carpet fresh off the newest ready-to-wear and couture runways. It’s a spectacle that appeals to movie fans and fashionistas alike.
The splendor was expected to be greater than ever for the 2022 edition after pandemic changes.
The Venice Film Festival, which began on August 30th, featured hot new films making their world premieres over a two-week period. The 79th festival saw the premieres of Blonde starring Ana de Armas, Bones & All starring Timothée Chalamet, Tár starring Cate Blanchett, and White Noise, with Jodie Turner-Smith. We also had the premiere of the much publicized Don’t Worry Darling film starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles and Gemma Chan, which was directed by Olivia Wilde, among many others.
Cartier, one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of luxury jewelry and watches in the world, partnered last year with La Biennale di Venezia, an organization at the forefront of research and promotion of new contemporary art trends, to become the main sponsor of the Venice International Film Festival. For the second year in a row, Cartier accessorized most of Hollywood’s top talent who brought their glitzy style to the red carpet.
The head of this year’s jury, Julianne Moore, also made an impression on us with a string of fashionable moments, working with stylist Kate Young to create looks from Armani Privé, Valentino, Alaïa and others.
