Day 2 of SRMG Experience At Cannes Lions Wraps With Leading Innovators in Media

The SRMG Experience at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity wrapped on Tuesday following panel discussions with leading media players reflecting on the hottest innovations and how the industry can, and should, embrace them.

Moderator Riad Hamade, Director of Business News at Asharq Business with Bloomberg, was joined by Rebecca Bezzina, SVP Managing Director at R/GA London, Per Pedersen, Founder & Global Creative Chairman of by The Network; and Laurent Thevenet, Head of Creative Technology at Publicis Groupe APAC & MEA. The panel explored how technology is creating new ways to tell stories and disrupting the communication and advertising industry.

Pedersen said all the innovation is moving in the same direction “to create immersive experiences” with investments in AI, the metaverse and Web 3.0.

The speakers agreed that the key for the media industry is to not be reluctant to experiment with new ideas. Innovation in this industry is constantly evolving at a fast-pace and the industry must be open and willing to invest in new technologies, practices and models.

Discussions will continue at the SRMG Experience this week at Cannes Lions. Full program details at www.canneslions.srmg.com
