Saudi Arabia To Boost Women's Place in The Museum Sector

The Museum Commission of Saudi Arabia bolstered a conversation around women empowerment in the museum industry.

According to Arab News, Maha bint Amer AlShukhil, a faculty member of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, moderated the event that featured Stefano Carboni, the commission's CEO.

The role and labor of Saudi women, as well as the necessity to promote job prospects for women in the museum area were discussed.

The meeting also included the following talking points:
fostering collaboration between universities and the Museums Commission, the role and importance of museums in society, boosting women's efforts in the field, volunteer opportunities, and diversifying opportunities for women to work in the sector.

The commission's goals, according to Carboni, include providing consulting services, giving training programs on museum administration, providing opportunities to learn about specialized businesses in the sector, and striving to improve museum-visitor communication skills.
