Shine Wherever You Go This Holiday Season With This Hanan Al Najadah x Max Factor Look

The look featuring the reverse blue cat eyeliner, a dramatic golden smokey eye and luscious lashes will make those holiday selfies really pop….

The festive season is the perfect time to be daring and try something new with your make-up. And this can be done easier than ever this year, thanks to Hanan Al Najadah joining forces with Max Factor to create a knockout holiday look.

The famed Kuwaiti make-up artist and one of the world's pioneering cosmetics companies have come up with a head-turning festive look that combines two trends: the reverse blue cat eyeliner and a dramatic golden smokey eye. What’s more, titled “Shine into the light,” the celebratory look is specially tailored to intensify the beauty of women in the Middle East.

“I am very excited to collaborate with Max Factor, it’s actually the first make-up brand I started using in my career. Hope you’ll love the look we created together as much as I do,” the respected beauty expert said.

Follow these five steps to create the stunning look:

Step 1: Apply Liquid Eyeshadow

Start by applying Max Factor’s “Eyefinity: All Day Eyeshadow” in the divine Soft Chestnut shade ( #8) as a base that can last all day. Applied on the eyelid, the waterproof technology and silky transformative texture of this 2 in 1 liquid eyeshadow and eyeliner makes for a clean application which is crease, smudge and smear proof. The product is available in six shades, from romantic blushes to warm bronze hues to cover all looks.

Step 2: Top Up With A Golden Shade

Dab on the gold shade from the “Masterpiece Nude” eyeshadow palette at the centre of your eyelid with an eyeshadow blender brush. While this Max Factor eyeshadow palette comes in five shades ranging from deep to pale tones, Al Najadah used the “Golden Nude” (#2) palette to achieve the best golden smokey eye look. Featuring five perfectly matched shades and a silky-smooth formula that gives more pigment, it helps anyone master the most glamorous nude eye look. The ultra-versatile and universally flattering eye contouring palette allows you to contour your eyes in endless combinations! It blends precisely thanks to the dual-tip applicator and allows you to build to your heart’s content, creating matte, shimmery or sparkly finishes.

Step 3: Time For That Winged Eyeliner

Create an on fleek winged eyeliner with Max Factor’s “Masterpiece Color Expert” eyeliner in Black, which creates an intense yet effortless eye look that lasts all day. The waterproof staple comes with a soft tip precision applicator that lets you craft a powerful, defined eye.

Step 4: The Blue Kohl Is Calling

Outline your waterline and lower lash line with “Masterpiece Kohl Kajal” liner in Azure (#02). Al Najadah’s tip to achieve the perfect reverse cat eye effect is to extend the outer corner. The liner, which is also available in Black or Beige, creates an effortlessly intense eye look that lasts all day. To help you apply the kohl, an ancient and adored make-up touch in the region, it comes in a buttery soft formula that makes application smooth, plus it is ideal for sensitive eyes.

Step 5: Don't Forget Lashings of Mascara

Add dramatic volume to your lashes with Max Factor’s “Masterpiece Divine Lashes” mascara. The mascara provides really soft volume, layer after layer, with a creamy whipped formula and ultra-soft brush that creates clump-free application. Enriched with lash-loving panthenol, the rich formula is smudge-proof and flake-free. Al Najadah whips up the lashes even further by adding on the new waterproof version of the mascara to help finalise the look and make sure it lasts for the whole day.
