This just in! Saudi Arabia ranked 3rd globally and first in the Arab world when it comes to providing humanitarian aid to poor countries of the world. According to Saudi Gazette, the aid grants have reached more than $841 million with Saudi Arabia being is the highest donor for Yemen with numbers reaching 800 million until the end of July 2021, according to the United Nations Financial Tracking Service (FTS).
Supervisor-General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, who is also an adviser at the Royal Court, expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammed Bin Salman for having reached this humanitarian milestone.
The ranking also reiterates the Kingdom’s leadership and commitment to religious values and the act of giving. Al-Rabeeah also added that the country will always be keen to extending a helping hand to countries around the world.
