Saudi Creative Ethar Balkhair Designs The Most Wholesome Sephora Box
As well as amazing limited-edition artwork portraying empowerment, the magic box has all kinds of bestselling products for beauty lovers
In a first, Sephora Middle East is offering its Sephora Favorites box as a limited-edition collectible. Created to celebrate the recent International Women’s Day, the beautiful box features an exclusive artwork that was designed for Sephora by the Saudi artist and illustrator Ethar Balkhair, who just happens to be passionate about beauty.
And the Jeddah-based Illustrator, Pattern and Graphic Designer really puts her magic spin on the cool value box inspired by customer bestsellers, which was launched in the Middle East in 2019. With every box coming with a story and a theme behind it, Balkhair was inspired by “a woman’s inner beauty, which comes from her spirit and confidence,” she explained while making the announcement on her Instagram page. The creative, who has experience in storytelling, branding, re-branding, advertising, packaging, product design, social media, photography and more, added this was mirrored via the rich and lively colours, as well as the heightened natural elements.
“I portray the diverse female figures in the region. The vibrant colour palettes are used to reflect the strength and intense emotions they possess,” Balkhair, a Dar Al Hekma University graduate, also said in a statement. “The sun represents one’s life, passion and determination. Sephora’s stripes throughout the illustration show boldness and exude energy, reflecting on the woman’s sunglasses as she foresees her bright vision into the future.”
