Red Sea International Film Festival Set To Happen in November

The largest annual celebration of cinema in the region!

The Red Sea International Film Festival just revealed on Thursday the new date for its premiere will finally debut this year.

The long-awaited festival was set to happen in March 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic. The inaugural festival, which will run from Nov. 11 to 20, plans to highlight the re-introduction of cinema to Saudi Arabia in 2019. And of course, the Red Sea International Film Festival will focus on the emerging film culture and showcase local Saudi talent to the world.

Hosting the 10-day festival under the theme of "Metamorphosis", Jeddah’s charming Al-Balad neighborhood is the perfect place to highlight the evolution of cinema, women's participation in the industry, and new media streaming platforms..

The organizers' team includes managing director Shivani Pandya, director of Arab programs and film classics Antoine Khalife, director of international programming Kaleem Aftab, and head of the Red Sea Lodge, and the Red Sea Film Foundation’s incubator Jumana Zahid.

According to Arab News, the senior team has a 50/50 gender split with Ibrahim Modir as head of shared services.

We look forward to see film fanatics, filmmakers, and international industry leaders together.
