Saudi Arabia Did Not Register Infections of New COVID-19 Variant

Saudi Arabia's Healthy Ministry just reported that there were no registered infections of the new variant of Covid-19, which erupted in London.

According to Arab News, a spokesman for the ministry tweeted: “Reports that infections of the new variant are false. It has not yet been detected in the Kingdom.”

Be sure to always contact the ministry to ask about any Covid-related information and avoid misinformation and rumors.

Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah added that the new mutated coronavirus strain is not worse than COVID-19, assuring that vaccines currently in use are effective against it. In all cases, the Health Ministry continues to monitor developments related to the new strain.
