Saudi Arabia Launches Initiative to Boost Arabic For Non-Native Speakers

And it's on the occasion of Arabic language day!

Saudi Arabia's Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) will kickstart an Arabic teaching program with academic accreditation for non-native speakers worldwide on 18 December.

The program aims to preserve the language and encourage non-native speakers to improve their Arabic skills. Launching on International Arabic Day, the opening ceremony will be broadcasted for viewers to enjoy.

Starting next week, the Saudi Education and Training Evaluation Commission is launching an international initiative to academically accredit centres and programs that teach Arabic to foreigners –in an attempt to promote the language and share its beauty. pic.twitter.com/BI1eqm0YcA

The ETEC has plans to extend the quality of its services to other accredited institutions to maintain a high level of teaching Arabic globally and to build systems of accreditations.

The commission is behind the evaluation of public and private education in the Kingdom, and has a role in shaping public education curricula in coordination with the Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia.
