Check Out Sole DXB’s Exhibit All About Hip Hop

Fans of hip hop, rap and R&B, this one is for you! We're listening.

A new interactive exhibit just landed in the UAE! Sole DXB partnered up with Abu Dhabi’s Manarat Al Saadiyat to open doors to 'CONTACT HIGH: A Visual History of Hip-Hop.’

The show will take you through four decades of hip hop culture with unique insights to artists that set the grounds of the movement. Big names like Tupac, Jay Z and The Notorious B.I.G are on the spotlight along with other game-changers displayed in photographs taken by Janette Beckman, Barron Claiborne, Jorge Peniche, and others.

Before landing in the UAE, the exhibit traveled to NYC and L.A and is directed by Fab 5 Freddy, the visual artist behind some of the most iconic music videos from the 90s - Nas & Snoop Dogg, to name a couple.

Hip hop fans can roam through photographs, albums, magazine covers, and memorabilia dating back to the 80s. One of the stars of the show is the timeless “King of New York” photograph of Notorious Big captured by Clairbone in 1997 - so make sure to snap a pic!

And if you can’t make your way there in 2020, no worries the show is running till 31st of May 2021.
