Sudan still suffers from the repercussions of the disastrous flood that hit the country in September.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has not left the side of Sudan amidst the humanitarian crisis. The relief center sent over this week 42 tons and 100 tons of dates of food items among flood victims in Khartoum.

Some 600 food baskets (64.2 tons) were distributed in the Um Derman area of the capital. When it comes to Covid-19 pandemic, KSRelief has also been helping Sudan in its fight against the disease as part of their ongoing relief program. One of the largest donors to Sudan, Arab News reported that Saudi Arabia’s donations exceeded $1.2 billion until 2019.

Covid-19 efforts include organized lectures with Dr. Zakia Bukhari, a consultant on epidemiology and infectious diseases, to health practitioners to the Zaatar refugee camp in Jordan.
