Rihanna is known all over the world to be a talented singer-songwriter, fashion designer, a savvy businesswoman, and a philantropist to the core.
As the world is on standstill in the face of a pandemic, the popstar's NGO Clara Lionel Foundation announced that it would be donating $5 million to aid the battle against the novel coronavirus globally.

In the announcement, it was stated that the Clara Lionel Foundation would be supporting “on-the-ground partners working on the frontlines of disaster response, especially those focused on protecting and serving marginalized communities.”
The charitable organization will also donate funds for virus testing in countries such as Malawi and Haiti, support local food banks in America for underprivileged communities, and provide equipment along with training to health workers currently dealing with coronavirus cases. Riri's non-profit also hopes to “help establish and maintain intensive care units, and accelerate the development of vaccines and other therapies.”

Justine Lucas, the Executive Director of the Clara Lionel Foundation also stated, “Never has it been more important or urgent to protect and prepare marginalized and underserved communities–those who will be hit hardest by this pandemic.”
The hit maker dedicated the organization in memory of her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite and devoted its mission to provide aid and resources to countries suffering the effects of natural disasters. Helping out the most Caribbean and African countries, Clara Lionel Foundation has now enlarged its focus to provide relief against coronavirus all over the globe.
