#BoomBoxBus: The Coolest Transportation You'll Ever See

Meet the Boom Box on wheels, brainchild of the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) and Creative Forager.

The double-decker bus has bass speakers as the wheels, and a tape deck between the windows that has equalizer dials you find on a radio – Tone, Balance, and Volume. Overall it has 80 dials, switches and speakers. The long top window takes the place of an AM/FM radio display.

This unique transportation means was created to exhibit creativity seeping into even the most familiar surroundings, a fresh perspective on a mundane object.

Communications Manager at AUB, Karen Thurlow, said, “Creativity is about connecting with individuals and surprising people. Every day, staff and students across our 20 creative courses advocate this in the work they do and make. Wrapping the bus in this way felt like a great way to share our spirit of creativity with the people of Bournemouth.”
