After Garret Suhrie graduated, he landed a role as studio manager and post-production artist to the iconic David LaChapelle - which Suhrie describes as the best photographic education he ever could have hoped for.
"He became a wonderful mentor to myself and my artistic vision, though the hours were so long I never got to see the sun," Suhrie said. "So I began shooting at night, and when I realized I could leave the shutter open and paint with light, I was sold.”
"I put down my paintbrush and picked up a flashlight - and have been exploring the world (shooting mostly nocturnal imagery) ever since."
And from that, a photo series was birthed giving us some of the most incredible in the dark shots we’ve ever seen. Every detail accentuated greatly in the dimly lit photographs, the pictures are so 3D you’ll want to jump in. Take a look for yourself:

Born in Pennsylvania and educated in Philadelphia, Suhrie is now based in Los Angeles. In reality, though, he'll be living in his truck for the next year on an Alaskan adventure. So we’ll be waiting for more epic photographs.
