Khair Makkah: KSA’s Disabled Children’s Association’s Latest Humanitarian Initiative

Saudi Arabia has many organizations and foundations that work tirelessly towards social, environmental, and humanitarian causes. Improving the quality of life for all Saudi Arabians has always been a priority and a major part of Vision 2030.

One of the most recent initiatives that follow in that path is of DCA, Saudi Arabia’s Disabled Children Association. The project is called Khair Makkah, and is expected to provide for 4000 disabled children yearly.

How is it going to do that? The project consists of two commercial towers covering an area of 5,700 square meters in Makkah’s Al-Naseem district. The plan is to donate the rental revenues of the massive project to service centres that aid in improving the lives of handicapped children in cities all over the kingdom, including Riyadh, Jeddaj, Taif, Madinah, Assir, Hail, Al Jawf, Al Ras, and Jazan.

Khair Makkah is expected to provide a stable income for expenditures, and other specialized services that the children may need.

DCA provides comprehensive multidisciplinary rehabilitation services to children and in the process also gives support to the families. They also work to educate and enlighten the society on disability causes and how to deal with them.
